Dangers of teenage pregnancy on the victim

The great rise in teenage pregnancy among teenage girls has been an issue that serious attention needs to be taken with all seriousness because the effect is more on the victim than the cause of the victim or the people close to such a girl.

There are many things a teenage girl suffers from due to pregnancy.

According to the World Health Organization, about  20 million girls (15 to 19 years) in developing countries become pregnant and an estimated 12 million of them give birth.

The risk these teenagers go through is far beyond what can be imagined.

1. ECONOMIC EFFECT ON A PREGNANT TEENAGER

The economic hardship faced by a teenager thrown out to the street is high. According to my convictions, about 50% of teenage girls are pushed out of the house and suffer to feed themselves and their children.

The financial stability of a pregnant teenager is just 20%, most especially those rejected by parents immediately after pregnancy.  To help the social economy of our nation, young people and teenagers should be helped.

2. SOCIAL EFFECT ON A PREGNANT TEENAGER

The social circumstances faced by a teenager are more devastating than the economic ones because the social life of a man is very important to him.

Discrimination from people and isolation is one of the major issues a pregnant teenager faces in our society.

According to the World Health Organization,  due to social discrimination, based on 2019 data, 55% of unintended pregnancies among adolescent girls aged 15–19 years end in abortions, which are often unsafe in LMICs.

Ade Love became a sudden introvert within 3 months. No one understood what this meant not until the day she was eventually declared missing by her parents. made life hell for her and now couldn't control themselves realizing their only child was missing.

Adelove as she was popularly called by many people is a young girl with dreams and aspirations as a child who always dreamt of greatness cause she couldn't hide herself.

Due to abject poverty, she dated a guy who takes care of most of her needs which her parent couldn't provide due to their state of life as it's been dictated to them above them.

Not up to a month later, the dream lawyer became a mother unexpectedly.  Immediately this was seen by her parents, and they punished her with everything possible.

Her life became meds and couldn't explain the concept behind her life issue. The day she was declared missing, she left that house telling no one where she was going and when they saw her, she was dead.

Social discrimination is one of the things a community, society, and body can do to help the teenager in the time of her challenges.

3. MENTAL EFFECT ON THE VICTIM

Over 40% of teenagers undergo mental instability due to the issues faced by many teenagers in the world today. Teen mothers are more likely to experience post-traumatic stress disorder than other teenage women, and many might have past abuse or trauma. Among adolescent mothers, rates of depression are estimated to be between 16% and 44%. In contrast, the lifetime prevalence of major depression among nonpregnant adolescents and adult women is between 5% and 20%.

The mental health issues that can be faced by most teenage mothers are suicide, Mental Instability, Emotional disorders, And soon.

Teen moms and pregnant moms need help during their times of challenge due to the stance of life they are going through at the time of challenges.

Teen Moms deserve to be loved and helped by all.
